Bluff Top’s lilacs sold out fast, but we still have some fresh flowers available! This is the last week for Drewry apples and eggs for a while; make sure you stock up while you can!! Our green vegetables sold fast this week but fresh catnip from Bluff Top is still available! Check out beaded bookmarks from Le jardin bien-aimee or handwoven runners from Houston Farm and Fiber in the fiber crafts category if you need a special gift! Create your own “pot of gold” with great local foods like handmade pasta from Wild Hare Nursery, soybeans from B&B Legacy, homemade granola from Granola With Love and McAnulty Mercantile, local honey from Rural Route Farms, English muffins from Pleasant View, sourdough pretzels from Maple Brook Bakery, banana nut muffins or snickerdoodles from Isn’t She Sweet, sourdough sandwich bread from Victoria’s Little Bread House or lemon drop cookies from Cecelia and Otis! Don’t forget to order fresh mushrooms from The Fortunate Mushroom while they are available! It’s almost Easter; get ready for an Easter feast with pork roasts from Porch Swing Farms, Bluff Top or Michael’s Garden, sliced ham from Porch Swing Farms or fresh ham steaks from Bluff Top! Stock up and save with a C3 Beef beef box or get a eye of round roast from R&D for a family dinner. A whole chicken from Dunrovin also makes a lovely dinner, or please some hungry kiddos with their drumsticks! The eclipse is also coming up fast! There are two more market days after this week to get stocked up for the big eclipse event! Due to the expected amount of traffic, we will not have a market April 9th. Have a lucky day and shop local!

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. in Clayton, Clarkesville, or Gainesville.

If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION after you finish the checkout process, then your order is NOT complete. Head back to the market page, and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.

Once you place an order, be on the lookout for the order reminder email on Wednesday with further pickup and payment notes. Thanks for your support!

This week’s market day is also the first day of Spring! Spring has definitely sprung here in the River Valley and we are looking forward to warmer weather produce from our growers! This week is the last week until fall that apples from Drewry Farm and Orchard will be available… Stock up on the last of this crop while we look forward to the opening of Drewry’s The Family Table or Front Porch Breakfast! If you haven’t been, it’s a great and tasty experience! It’s great weather for grilling…. make sure to get some smoked salt with peppercorns from McAnulty Mercantile and shop our amazing selection of local meats for your favorite cuts! Dried or fresh mushrooms from The Fortunate Mushroom are a great (and healthy) addition to your meals as are B&B Legacy’s high-protein soybeans! Easter is almost here, and we certainly have plenty of beautiful eggs for all your needs! Many of them are so pretty already they don’t need dye! Our baked goods category is off-the-chart with amazing breads of all kinds, but the cookie selection is pretty fantastic, too! From Cecelia and Otis’ vegan options to Kaitlyn’s filled cookies to old fashioned favorites from Pleasant View or Isn’t she Sweet and sourdough cookies from Victoria’s Little Bread House or Maple Brook Bakery, there is definitely a cookie for every occasion! “Spring” into action and get your amazing and fresh local groceries at RCM!
