Boiled Potatoes with Butter

Vegetarian!

Ingredients
1 pound Small potatoes
1 head Garlic (halved crosswise)
1 Bay leaf
1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
Salt to preference
2 to 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
Pepper

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Put the potatoes, garlic, bay leaf, and peppercorns into a large saucepan, then add enough cold water to cover by an inch. Season with salt
  2. Bring the heat to boiling, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes. Drain & discard the garlic, bay leaves, and peppercorns.
  3. Halve the potatoes if they are large. Toss the potatoes with butter, then season with salt & pepper to preference. Serve warm as a side.
