Ingredients
1 cup Grits
1 Minced garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
4 cups Water
2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Butter
1 pound Cooked shrimp
2 Chopped tomatoes
4 Finely chopped green onions
2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley
4 teaspoons Lemon juice
2 or 3 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
Sliced jalapenos for topping (if desired)
Crumbled bacon for topping (if desired)
Extra cheese for topping (if desired)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Place the grits, garlic, salt, pepper, and water in a slow cooker and stir them together. Cook covered on high for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in the cheese and butter and let them melt. Stir in the remaining ingredients and let the grits cook for another 15 to 30 minutes.
  3. Serve and add any desired toppings.
